state Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a jury verdict against a Mena nursing home
but cut the damages award from $78 million to $26 million. The unanimous
decision sets up a potential confrontation between the court and Arkansas
new tort reform law. Even at $26 million, the award represents the largest
personal injury verdict in Arkansas history. Click
